Bhubaneswar, 9 January (H.S.) Beneficiaries of the Public Distribution System (PDS) in Odisha must complete the e-KYC process for their ration cards by January 31 to avoid losing their ration benefits.

Krushna Chandra Patra, Odisha’s Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister, has urged all beneficiaries to finalise the process before the deadline. Approximately 49 lakh ration cardholders in the state have yet to complete their e-KYC.

To facilitate this, beneficiaries are encouraged to visit their nearest Electronic Public Service (EPS) outlets or ration distribution centres. Once the e-KYC process is completed, new ration cards will be issued to all eligible beneficiaries under the PDS.

The government has also instructed officials to assist beneficiaries residing in Odisha as well as Odias living in other states, ensuring a smooth e-KYC process.
