Dhemaji (Assam), 09 January (HS): Assam Health Minister Ashok Singhal on Thursday inaugurated a new civil hospital in Jonai. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Minister Singhal said that a strong step has been taken towards the goal of a healthy Assam under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Minister Singhal said that this new hospital has 12 OPDs, one Intensive Care Unit (ICU), two Operating Theaters (OT), 26-bed Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) and many other advanced medical facilities.

This hospital will meet the healthcare needs of the people of Jonai and Dhemaji districts.

MP Pradan Barua, MLA Bhuvan Pegu and many prominent persons were present with Minister Ashok Singhal on this special occasion.
