Agartala, 24 January (HS): Vigilant jawans of BSF Tripura foiled several smuggling attempts during various operations along the Indo-Bangladesh border. They rescued animals and seized 34.40 kg of marijuana, 787 bottles of phensidyl, 500 kg of sugar and other items, worth ₹4,30,472.
According to another information, under a special operation against drugs, BSF Tripura along with police and forest officials destroyed about 28,000 matured marijuana plants grown on six acres of forest land near village Monaipathar Gokulnagar, Tripura.
