Barpeta (Assam), September 19 (HS): Assam Police have arrested a drug peddler with drugs from the Barpeta Road Railway Station.

Police said on Thursday that on the basis of secret information, during an operation led by Barpeta Road Police Station in-charge Semit Talukdar, the peddler was arrested with 23 grams of drugs.

The arrested peddler has been identified as Alkash Ali. Police have registered an FIR under the NDPS Act in this regard and are investigating the matter.
