13-year-old boy had threatened to blow up IGI airport, arrested


New Delhi, June 11 (HS): A 13-year-old minor who had sent an email about a bomb in a flight going from Delhi to Canada has been caught. This child has been caught from Meerut. The child told during interrogation that he had sent this email just for fun.

On the 4th of this month, when a call about a bomb being planted in a flight at IGI Airport in Delhi created panic, the security agencies lost their sleep. Now in this case, the airport police has caught a 13-year-old minor. This child had given this information through mail that a bomb was planted in a flight going from Delhi to Toronto.

According to the information received from the airport police, information about the bomb in the flight going from Delhi Airport to Toronto was received on the night of June 4 at around 11:30 pm. This flight was about to take off in the early hours of June 5, but after getting the information about the bomb, there was a commotion at the airport and emergency was declared and the plane was searched. Later it was declared a hoax call. Meanwhile, the airport police started the investigation.

Meanwhile, the police team's investigation reached Meerut. Where the source of the email was traced and after continuous efforts of the team, it was found out that the sender of the email was a 13-year-old teenager. During interrogation, he told that the idea of this email about a bomb in the flight came to him after he came to know about a bomb in a flight at Mumbai airport. After that, he sent this type of email to inform about a bomb in a flight at Delhi airport. He was afraid that the police would not be able to find out that he had sent the email.

He sent this email from his mobile with a fake email ID and for this, he sent the email using his mother's Wi-Fi. After sending this mail, he immediately deleted this email. He also told that the next day when he saw this news in news channels and newspapers, he was very happy but he did not inform his parents about this. Two mobile phones have been recovered from the child. The police presented the child before the Juvenile Justice Board, from where he was handed over to his family.
