BRS Announces First Candidates for Lok Sabha Elections in Telangana


Hyderabad, 4 March (H.S): The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has officially released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Led by former chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the party announced the names of four candidates for key constituencies in Telangana.

These include B Vinod Kumar for Karimnagar, Koppula Eshwar for Peddapalli, Nama Nageshwar Rao for Khammam, and Maloth Kavitha for Mahabubabad. The decision to nominate these candidates was made after receiving unanimous approval from party cadres in these constituencies. B Vinod Kumar, who previously served as the party's Karimnagar MP, has been nominated once again. Koppula Eshwar, who served as the BC welfare minister in the previous KCR cabinet, will be representing Peddapalli. Nama Nageswara Rao, the current sitting MP from Khammam and the party's floor leader in the Lower House of Parliament, has also been renominated.

Lastly, Maloth Kavitha will be contesting from Mahabubabad once again after her successful win in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The announcement of these candidates marks the beginning of BRS's campaign for the LS polls and showcases its strong presence in Telangana politics.
