Pune, 31 Dec (HS): Valmiki Karad, the main accused

in Beed District’s Massajog Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh, has

surrendered before Pune CID.

Before surrendering, he posted a video on social

media pleading not guilty in the case. He also said that the charges against

him are being levelled out of political rivalry. If found guilty he is

ready to face any kind of punishment. He is also facing charges of extortion

registered in Kej Police Station.

Those involved in Santosh Deshmukh’s murder should

be hanged. My name is being involved out of political rivalry, Valmiki has

said.

NCP leader Sharad Pawar and Jitendra Awhad knew that

he would be arrested by the police or will surrender, Valmiki has stated in his

post on the social media.
