Pithoragarh, 21 December (H.S.): A major landslide occurred on the Dharchula-Tawaghat-Lipulekh road here in Uttarakhand, causing the closure of the road. The incident took place around 11 am near Tawaghat in Pithoragarh, according to District Magistrate Vinod Goswami. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in the landslide.

However, it resulted in the closure of the road and caused inconvenience to commuters. The officials have now started working on clearing the debris and making necessary repairs to restore the road for public use.
