Kolkata, 20 December (H.S.): Skulls and bones were recovered from near the abandoned morgue of Beleghata ID Hospital on Friday. All those bones have been kept inside the principal house of the hospital. The forensic department has been informed. The police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.

Notably, the morgue of Beleghata ID Hospital has been lying deserted for a long time. The forest around the morgue has not been cleaned for a long time. The mortuary has been lying unused since Covid. While going to clear the forest, the matter came to the notice of the hospital authorities and the skeletons were recovered. The police was immediately informed. The police reached the spot and recovered 13 bones including the skull. However, the officials of Beleghata ID Hospital have not said anything on the matter yet.

The police said, The forensic department has been informed. The investigation is underway. The process of investigating how old the recovered skull and bones are has begun. It is not possible to say everything right now.
