Guwahati, 1 December (HS): Assam Police has sent five illegal Bangladeshi citizens back to Bangladesh. Giving information to this effect through social media on Sunday, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Assam Police identified and detained the five Bangladeshi infiltrators on the India-Bangladesh border.

The Bangladeshi citizens have been identified as Mohammad Noor Islam, Mohammad Imran, Yasmin Akhtar, Ishmo Tara Akhtar and Mohammad Babul Hussain. Later they were sent back to the other side of the border. The Chief Minister praised the Assam Police for this work.
