Dibrugarh (Assam), 14 November (HS): A woman killed on the spot in a road accident on National Highway 37 in Naliapul area of Dibrugarh district.

Police said on Thursday that the woman riding a scooty (AS-06Y-7775) killed on the spot after being hit by a Bus (AS-06CC-0621) on National Highway 37 in Naliapul area. The deceased could not be identified till the last information.

After the incident, the driver of the bus managed to escape from the spot. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police team reached the spot and took the body of the dead woman in their possession and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem. Police have registered an FIR in this regard and are searching for the absconding bus driver.
