Nagaon, (Assam), 14 November (HS): Tanzil Hussain, son of Congress MP from Dhubri constituency Rokibul Hussain, Congress candidate from Samaguri assembly constituency, has alleged irregularities in the assembly by-election and has demanded re-poll at 32 polling stations from the Returning Officer of Nagaon district. Congress candidate from Samguri Hussain submitted the list of 32 polling stations to the Returning Officer on Thursday.

In his demand letter, the Congress candidate has alleged rigging at these polling stations.

It is noteworthy that voting for five assembly seats of the state was completed on November 13. Where, voting was conducted peacefully in four assembly constituencies. At the same time, there were reports of sporadic violence from Samguri. During the elections also, there have been reports of clashes between Congress and BJP workers.
