Kanpur,
Oct 8 (HS): Two people, including the loader driver, died in a collision
between a truck and a loader vehicle on the highway in Naubasta police station
area on Tuesday. Police reached the spot after receiving information and took
legal action by taking possession of the bodies of both the deceased.
Deputy
Commissioner of Police South Ankita Sharma said that in the accident, the
driver of the loader vehicle, Manjeet Sharma, 25 years old, resident of Behat
Biram village of Machhrehta police station area of Sitapur district, son of
Jograj Sharma, 25 years old, and Mohammad Saqib alias Arfat, 28 years old son,
resident of Kaithani Bagh village of Rohani police station area of Ayodhya
district. Mohammad Shafiq died in Kanshi Ram Hospital.
The family was informed
in this regard and legal action was taken upon their arrival. She said that on
Tuesday, there was an accident involving vehicle number UP32QN9079 and truck
number UP78GT5408 on Naubasta Highway on the stretch coming from Lucknow to
Kanpur, in which the driver of the truck ran away from an unknown spot.
In the
said incident, the driver of the loader vehicle, Manjeet Sharma, son of Jograj
Sharma and helper Mohammad Saqib alias Arafat son of Mohammad Shafiq was
injured. The police team that reached the spot admitted both of them to Kanshi
Ram Hospital for treatment, where both of them died. After receiving a
complaint from the family, a case was registered and legal action was taken.
