
Varanasi, 08 July (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath launched a cashless healthcare facility for teachers and
Shikshamitras (teachers) of the Basic and Secondary Education Department in
Varanasi on Wednesday. He also transferred funds directly to the bank accounts
of the parents of approximately 11 million students across the state through
DBT.
On Wednesday, the second day of his Varanasi visit, Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath honored 12 principals of nationally selected clean and
green schools at a program held at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Hastkala
Sankul, Bada Lalpur. In the Chief Minister's presence, an MoU was signed with
the State Bank of India for the social security of 1 million teachers and
contract employees.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the Chief
Minister stated that cashless treatment in the state will cost Rs. 450 crore
annually. The state government will pay for this. He stated that the government
does not expect anything in exchange for cashless medical care; it only asks
that you focus on children's education. Schools in the state should focus on
cleanliness, education, and child development. He mentioned Arunachal Pradesh,
noting that everyone there speaks Hindi. The state MP pointed out that all the
teachers in the state are from Uttar Pradesh. A large number of people in
Madhya Pradesh are also from Uttar Pradesh.Education is the foundation of
society. Without it, nothing is possible.
Minister Anil Rajbhar, Minister of State for Basic Education
(Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh, and Minister of State for Secondary
Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi, among others, were present at the
event.
