
Bhubaneswar, 08 July (H.S.)The Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday launched simultaneous searches at four locations linked to Rabindra Kumar Nayak, Forest Ranger of the Kendrapada Forest Range, over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The searches are being conducted on the basis of warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Cuttack, as part of an ongoing disproportionate assets (DA) investigation.
According to Vigilance officials, the operation is being carried out under the supervision of five Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), nine Inspectors, five Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff.
As part of the operation, Vigilance teams are simultaneously searching Nayak's four-storeyed residential building at Munduli, Godisahi under Baranga Police Station in Cuttack district, his parental house at Sahadapada under Banki Police Station in Cuttack district, his official chamber at the Kendrapada Forest Range Office, and his temporary residence in Kendrapada.
The search operations are currently in progress, and officials said a detailed report on the assets unearthed and other findings will be released after the completion of the raids.
