Guwahati, 08 July (HS): The old Saraighat Bridge will remain closed to vehicular traffic for two months to facilitate essential repair and maintenance work.

According to the decision, the bridge will be shut from July 16 to September 15. During this period, all vehicles will be diverted to the new Saraighat Bridge.

To ensure smooth traffic movement, authorities will install a divider on the new Saraighat Bridge, allowing regulated movement of vehicles throughout the repair period.-----------
