Guwahati, 08 July (HS): The Kamrup (Metro) district administration has launched a strict crackdown on Green Bus operations to improve road discipline and commuter safety in Guwahati.

As part of the enforcement drive, the administration has cancelled the driving licences of 63 Green Bus drivers for violating traffic rules and operational guidelines.

Under the new directions, Green Buses will be allowed to operate only on the left side of the road and will not be permitted to change their designated route under any circumstances.

The administration has also warned that any violation of these instructions will invite strict action, including suspension of bus services for seven days. Officials said the measures are aimed at ensuring safer and more disciplined public transport across the city.-----------
