Guwahati, 08 July (HS): Ledo, a town etched in the history of the Second World War, is poised to begin a new chapter as a hub for India's space research. According to the information, the historic town will soon become part of the country's growing space infrastructure.

An ISRO Research Centre will be established in Ledo, with a Satellite Earth Station to be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹82 crore. The project is expected to strengthen India's satellite communication and space research capabilities while giving the historic town a new scientific identity.

The upcoming facility is expected to transform Ledo from a landmark of wartime history into an important centre supporting India's future space missions.----------
