
Raipur, July 19 (HS): The Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation (CMDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre (JNARDDC), Nagpur, to promote sustainable mining, scientific research and the development of critical minerals in the state.
According to a government release, the collaboration aims to strengthen the Centre's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and the Critical Minerals Mission by adopting modern mining technologies and value-addition processes for the efficient utilisation of Chhattisgarh's mineral resources and long-term industrial growth.
The MoU was formally exchanged on Friday between Controller General of the Indian Bureau of Mines and JNARDDC Director Pankaj Kulshreshtha and CMDC Chief General Manager Sanjay Kanakne in the presence of senior officials.
The partnership is expected to facilitate research and technological collaboration in the mining sector, promote sustainable resource management and support the development of critical mineral value chains in Chhattisgarh.
