New , 21 July (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, on Tuesday as part of the second leg of her three-nation State Visit. She was accorded a warm welcome at the airport by North Macedonia's Foreign Minister, Timcho Mucunski.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this is the first-ever visit by an Indian President to North Macedonia, reflecting the steadily strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries. The visit is expected to further deepen India–North Macedonia relations and open new avenues for cooperation across a wide range of sectors.

It is noteworthy that President Murmu completed the first leg of her three-nation State Visit in Moldova before arriving in North Macedonia for a two-day visit.

Before departing for North Macedonia, President Murmu attended a State Banquet hosted in Chisinau. During her visit to Moldova, she also interacted with members of the Indian community living in the country.
