New Delhi, 21 July (H.S.): Social media campaign Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has removed its spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya from the post over what it described as “highly insensitive behaviour”.

In a post on X on Tuesday, CJP strongly condemned the conduct of its spokesperson, stating, “We strongly condemn the extremely insensitive behaviour of our spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya. Her videos surfaced at a time when peaceful protesters and our team were facing police brutality. Such behaviour is unacceptable, reflects a complete lack of understanding, and is completely against the values and principles of our movement.”

The organisation further said that, as a response, Vijeta Dahiya had been removed from the position of CJP spokesperson and relieved of all official responsibilities.

The decision came after a video of Vijeta Dahiya went viral on Monday, in which she was seen eating a burger while young students were sitting on the streets protesting during the ‘Chalo Sansad’ (March to Parliament) campaign, demanding action over issues affecting their future.
