Amaravati, July 12 (HS): The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has appointed Dr Raja as the Global NRI TDP Chief in a move aimed at strengthening the party's engagement with the Telugu diaspora worldwide.

The appointment was made under the direction of TDP National President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.

Chandrababu Naidu, recognising Dr Raja's contribution to the party.

Expressing gratitude, Dr Raja thanked Chandrababu Naidu and TDP National General Secretary and Andhra Pradesh

Minister for Human Resources Development and IT Nara Lokesh for reposing faith in him.

I am deeply honoured by the confidence reposed in me. I will work towards strengthening and effectively coordinating

TDP's NRI chapters across the world and building a vibrant global network, Dr Raja said.

He said his priority would be to leverage the expertise and global network of the Telugu diaspora to contribute to Andhra Pradesh's development through investments, innovation, skill development and youth empowerment.

Dr Raja also stressed the importance of engaging young professionals and entrepreneurs in the AI-driven era to bring innovative and future-ready solutions for governance and development.

TDP leaders and supporters from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa welcomed the appointment and expressed confidence that it would strengthen the party's global outreach.
