
New Delhi, 22 June (H.S.): External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar arrived in Mongolia on Monday for the first leg of his four-day overseas visit, where he was received by Mongolian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav.
In a post on social media platform X, the External Affairs Minister said he was delighted to arrive in Mongolia and thanked Mongolian State Secretary Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav for the warm welcome. He added that he looked forward to meaningful discussions aimed at advancing the India-Mongolia Strategic Partnership.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that Dr. Jaishankar will be in Mongolia on June 22 and 23. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet the Mongolian leadership and hold talks with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh.
Following his visit to Mongolia, the External Affairs Minister will travel to South Korea on June 24 and 25. During the visit, he will hold talks with Foreign Minister Cho Hyun and deliver the keynote address at the Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity in Jeju on June 25.
