New Delhi, 10 June (H.S.): The Union Cabinet on Wednesday passed a special resolution in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he became the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India based on consecutive electoral mandates.

The Council of Ministers congratulated Prime Minister Modi on the historic achievement and honoured him with a standing ovation during the Cabinet meeting.

During the meeting, all members of the Council of Ministers expressed their appreciation and respect for the Prime Minister, rising to applaud and congratulate him on the milestone. Cabinet members said the achievement reflects the continued trust reposed in him by the people of India and underscores the strength of the country’s democratic institutions and values.

The Cabinet noted that Prime Minister Modi’s tenure has been marked by sustained public support across successive elections, enabling him to become the longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister in the nation’s history.
