New Delhi, 10 June (H.S.): The 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog will be held on Thursday at the Cultural Centre of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The meeting, to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will focus on strengthening coordination between the Centre and the states, as well as discussions on digital public infrastructure, good governance, partnerships, and the improved use of data-driven systems.

According to NITI Aayog, the theme of this year's meeting is “Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047.” The objective is to formulate a shared strategy for the holistic development and welfare of every citizen of the country. The meeting is being organized in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of “Team India.”

Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, Administrators of States and Union Territories, Union Ministers, and NITI Aayog’s Vice Chairman, members, and Chief Executive Officer will participate in the meeting. Discussions will focus on how the goal of a developed India can be translated into tangible and measurable outcomes that benefit every citizen.

The meeting will deliberate on four key pillars of the inclusive human development framework. These include foundational human capital and future-ready skills, productive employment and entrepreneurship, health, nutrition and well-being, and equality and dignity for all. In addition, participants will discuss measures to promote entrepreneurship, strengthen skill development, and create sustainable employment opportunities across the country.

Special emphasis will be placed on aligning state-level development visions with the national vision for inclusive human development, enabling the formulation of an integrated strategy for balanced and sustainable growth.

The Governing Council will also review the recommendations of the Fifth National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December 2025. These recommendations cover areas such as early childhood education, school education, skill development, higher education, and sports and co-curricular activities.

The government believes that the meeting will serve as an important platform for further strengthening cooperative federalism between the Centre and the states and advancing the national objective of achieving Viksit Bharat 2047.
