New Delhi, 10 June (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister in India’s history. On Wednesday, he completed 4,399 days in office as an elected Prime Minister, surpassing the previous record of 4,398 days held by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) congratulated Modi on achieving the milestone. BJP President Nitin Nabin, while highlighting the Prime Minister’s accomplishments on Wednesday, said a new golden chapter had been added to India’s democratic history.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister of the country. These 4,399 days of uninterrupted service symbolize his unparalleled dedication to the nation,” Navin said.

He noted that under Modi’s leadership, the Central Government has completed 12 years dedicated to trust, development and public welfare. Describing the period as a remarkable journey “from resolve to achievement,” Nabin said the era has witnessed unprecedented progress in India’s development, security, economic empowerment and global standing.

According to the BJP president, the country has witnessed several historic transformations during Modi’s tenure. He said initiatives such as financial inclusion, the digital revolution and the “One Nation, One Tax” framework have strengthened transparent and accountable governance.

Nabin further stated that self-reliance in the defence sector, promotion of manufacturing and the expansion of modern infrastructure have accelerated the nation’s growth trajectory. He added that the construction of the grand Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, the abrogation of Article 370 and several other far-reaching decisions have emerged as significant milestones in fulfilling the aspirations of the people.

The BJP president said that today every citizen of the country is moving forward with a collective commitment to realise the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He emphasized that the Prime Minister’s leadership continues to inspire confidence and national resolve as India works towards becoming a developed nation by the centenary year of its independence.
