22 May (HS): On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Raja Ram Mohan Roy,

the Father of the Indian Renaissance, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister

Yogi Adityanath paid homage. CM Yogi praised the founder of the Brahmo Samaj on

social media as a social reform pioneer. In his statement, Adityanath emphasized

Roy's role in leading society away from superstitions and regressive rituals

and toward progressive consciousness, as well as his commitment to the

expansion of modern education.

In

a post on X, UP CM remarked, “On the birth anniversary of Raja Ram Mohan Roy,

the pioneer of the Indian Renaissance, great social reformer, and founder of

the Brahmo Samaj, humble tribute. He led society from superstition towards

reason, from regressive customs towards progressive consciousness. His

contribution to the spread of modern education will forever continue to inspire

the nation.”
