
Mumbai, 22 May (HS): The Thane Anti-Corruption
Bureau caught Special Government Pleader Bhupesh Ajit Purandare red handed
while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant in his chamber in
Vasai Court. An offence has been registered by the Vasai Police.
The ACB Sub-Inspector Rupali Poal on Friday told the
media that the bribe was demanded by Purandare from the complainant who had
gone to file an application relating to the return of property. He approached
the ACB on May 20, which laid the trap on Thursday and caught Purandare red
handed while accepting the bribe. He was immediately arrested by ACB officers.
