22 May (H.S.): A comprehensive Fire Safety Mock Drill was successfully

conducted on Friday at the state-of-the-art Operations Control Centre (OCC) of

DFCCIL, Prayagraj, in collaboration with Fire Service Prayagraj. The exercise

aimed to enhance awareness and preparedness among officials and staff regarding

fire safety, emergency response, safe evacuation procedures, and the proper use

of firefighting equipment.

During

the drill, emergency response protocols were activated immediately after the

alarm was raised. The Fire Service team demonstrated practical methods to

control different categories of fires, particularly electrical and inflammable

material fires. A live demonstration of gas-based and dry chemical powder fire

extinguishers was conducted in the open premises.

Employees

were also trained in systematic evacuation procedures and basic first-aid

measures for burn injuries and smoke inhalation. Officials and staff actively

participated in hands-on training sessions on operating fire extinguishers. The

Fire Service Prayagraj team appreciated the existing fire hydrant system and

safety arrangements at the OCC premises and also shared valuable suggestions

for further strengthening safety standards.

Chief

General Manager, Prayagraj, Anand Bhushan Sharan stated that such regular mock

drills enhance awareness, confidence, and preparedness among employees,

ensuring effective response during emergency situations.

The

training programme witnessed significant contribution from Fireman and Trainer Ravibhan

Upadhyay and Naseemuddin from Fire Service Prayagraj. From the DFCCIL Security

Team, Akhilesh Kumar Tiwari, Inspector/RPF/DFCCIL, Sujeet Kumar Rai, Inspector,

and Pawan Dubey, Inspector, along with the RPF Subedarganj team, ensured active

participation in the exercise. Senior officials including General

Manager/Electrical Shashikant Dwivedi, Deputy Chief Project Manager SManuj

Saraswat, and other officers and staff members were also present. The programme

was organized under the initiative of Ashish Mishra, General Manager/Security,

Eastern Corridor, Prayagraj.
