Noida/Lucknow,
22 May (HS): Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar
Pradesh government is taking concrete steps to make the education sector
future-oriented, technology-enabled, and results-oriented. In this regard, the
Department of Basic and Secondary Education, in collaboration with Invest UP
and CSRBOX, organized the Uttar Pradesh CSR Roundtable 2026 on Future
Ready Education in Noida, which was attended by over 100 representatives
from corporate, CSR organizations, and the development sector across the
country.
Speaking
as the chief guest at the event, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for
Basic Education, Sandeep Singh, said that since 2017, the Yogi government has
made extensive reforms, prioritizing education. He explained that while schools
previously lacked basic amenities, today more than 96 percent of schools have
been provided with essential infrastructure, including toilets, drinking water,
and electricity. This change reflects the government's commitment to education
in the state.
He
said that Uttar Pradesh, the state with the largest youth power in the country,
is being developed as a knowledge economy through positive
direction. In accordance with the National Education Policy 2020, the education
system is no longer limited to bookish knowledge; instead, special emphasis is
being placed on students' holistic development, skills, innovation, and
interest-based learning.
Minister
Singh said that in keeping with the spirit of Tamaso Ma
Jyotirgamay, the government considers education the greatest vehicle for
transformation to move society from the darkness of ignorance to the light of
knowledge. He said that initiatives such as continuous teacher training, smart
classrooms, digital and AI-based learning, and nutritious midday meals have
significantly improved the quality of education.
He
said the government's goal is not just to increase enrollment, but also to
improve learning outcomes. The Nipun Bharat Mission has shown
positive results in improving language and mathematical proficiency among
students in grades 1 and 2, positioning Uttar Pradesh to soon become a leading
state in this mission. The program emphasized that for comprehensive change in
the education sector, the participation of corporate and CSR organizations,
along with government efforts, is crucial. While appreciating the CSR
facilitation model operated by Invest UP, emphasis was placed on further
strengthening it to establish effective coordination between the government and
the private sector.
The
roundtable discussed various important topics aligned with the National
Education Policy 2020, the PM Shri scheme, and the state government's
priorities. Key topics included foundational literacy and numeracy, digital and
AI-based education, strengthening school infrastructure, teacher capacity
building, girl child education, and holistic student development.
During
the program, various prestigious institutions presented Letters of Intent for
collaboration in the areas of digital education, STEM, AI, teacher training,
scholarships, and skill development. On this occasion, agreements were also
signed between the Uttar Pradesh government and leading institutions in the
country, which will give a new direction to modern education and skill
development in the state.
Additional
