
Bhubaneswar, 07 April (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has praised India’s latest achievement in nuclear energy, calling it a landmark moment in the nation’s scientific and technological progress.
In a social media post, Majhi credited the milestone to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that the successful attainment of first criticality at the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) marks a transformative leap in India’s energy journey.
He described the development as a testament to India’s scientific excellence and strategic foresight in mastering advanced nuclear technology. The Chief Minister emphasized that the breakthrough would enable the country to unlock the vast potential of thorium-based energy, paving the way for long-term energy security and sustainability.
Majhi further stated that the achievement strengthens India’s path toward self-reliance and reinforces its ambition to emerge as a global leader in clean energy.
He also extended heartfelt congratulations to the scientists, engineers, and stakeholders involved, acknowledging their dedication and relentless efforts in turning this historic vision into reality.
