(HS): Local people and even team of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS)

were confused as 15 Gelatin sticks, 50 detonators and 8 connectors were found

dumped in a bag at Lanjewar Building near Dosar Bhavan Square on Central Avenue

in Nagpur. The bag is reported to have been lying unattended in the building

for about a month.

The site is

located near a petrol pump and a school, and about three kilometres from RSS

Headquarters. It is also adjacent to a sensitive Muslim-dominated Mominpura

area.

Someone noticed

a bomb-like object in the bag and informed the police. The BDDS team was also

summoned with a dog squad. Traffic on the road was immediately blocked and the

area was sealed for security reasons.

Further

investigation has been initiated. The road has a number of detonators shops and

fire cracker wholesale shops.
