Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has hailed the government's decision to regularise 1,511 unauthorised colonies on an as is where is basis.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, Sachdeva commended the Central Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for freeing these 1,511 colonies—previously regularised in 2019—from complex procedures and amending prior orders to grant legal status in their current form.

He noted the visible joy among over 50 lakh residents following Union Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's press conference announcement.

Sachdeva praised PM Modi for understanding residents' struggles with intricate regularisation norms and property registrations, describing the simplified as is where is exemption as a memorable gift to lakhs of families.
