Mathura, 7 April (HS): RSS chief Mohan
Bhagwat said on Tuesday that raising public awareness may help halt cow
slaughter in India, and he wanted for Ram Temple-style enthusiasm for the
cause. Make society cow-friendly, and cow slaughter will cease quickly. We must
make the people aware; the rest will follow, Bhagwat stated. He recognized the
limitations of rearing cows in cities and advised that people fund 'gaushalas'
(cow shelters) instead. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) head spoke at
Malook Peeth in Vrindavan on Malok Das ji Maharaj's 452nd birth anniversary. He
stated that if there is popular feeling (jan bhavna), the system must accept
it. Bhagwat pointed to the Supreme Court's momentous decision, which allowed
for the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
Between
2014 and 2019, no construction on the Ram temple occurred. It came after 2019.
Why? The Supreme Court, which used to claim that it had other pressing
concerns, issued a unanimous decision, he explained. The RSS leader stated that
the Supreme Court issued the decision in response to popular sentiment
throughout the country. Similarly, the cows should experience the same sense.
You and I are both making attempts.
