Mau, April
30 (HS): The MP MLA court in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh has issued a
non-bailable warrant against Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar,
accusing him of making offensive remarks and threatening to hit BJP leaders
with shoes in a case related to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The case
relates to an election rally held in Ratanpura Bazaar, under the Haldharpur
police station area. According to the complaint, the minister, while inciting
party workers from the stage, threatened to abuse and throw shoes at BJP
leaders, which was considered a violation of democratic values and the
election code of conduct. An FIR was registered in this case based on the
complaint of SI Rudrabhan Pandey, and after investigation, the police filed a
charge sheet in court. However, due to the minister's absence during the
framing of charges, Chief Judicial Magistrate (MP-MLA Court) Dr. Krishna Pratap
Singh took a firm stance and issued a non-bailable warrant on Wednesday. The
next hearing in the case has been scheduled for May 16, 2026, with instructions
to ensure the minister's presence.
