Golaghat (Assam), 16 April (HS): A person lost his life while two others sustained critical injuries in a road accident at Dhekial in Assam’s Golaghat district on Thursday.

According to police, the mishap occurred on Pandit Hemchandra Goswami Road when two motorcycles (AS-05L-4754 and AS-06X-3097) collided head-on with great impact. All three riders involved in the collision were severely affected.

One individual died on the spot, while the other two were left seriously injured. Upon receiving information, Dhekial police rushed to the scene and initiated necessary action.

The injured were immediately shifted to Golaghat District Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital for treatment, where their condition is stated to be critical. The deceased has been sent for post-mortem examination.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident. The identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.-----------
