Gorakhpur,
April 16 (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underlined the
importance of security in effective government, citing developments in police
training and infrastructure. Addressing a crowd, he described changes made
since 2017, including more training capacity, renovated facilities, and
improved living amenities for police officers to help maintain peace and order
in the state. Adityanath addressed an audience during the opening of a modern
security facility near the Shri Gorakhnath temple, emphasizing the importance
of holistic methods to police recruiting and training. He said that previous to
2017, more than half of police positions were unfilled, and training facilities
could only handle around 3,000 people at once. Infrastructure improvements have
quadrupled its capacity to almost 6,000 people at once.

resolving previous problems. The complex infrastructure investments, such as
the model policing facilities at Gorakhnath, have resulted in a safer
environment, which is consistent with Prime Minister Modi's goal of good
governance. The new security facility is intended to provide extensive
facilities for various police units and specialised forces.
In a post on X, he mentioned, “Timely recruitment, timely
training, and timely provision of facilities have resulted in a better security
