Lucknow, 09
March (HS): The weather in Uttar Pradesh is constantly changing. According to
the Meteorological Department, temperatures all set to rise above 40 degree C
in the coming days. On Sunday, different parts of the state experienced bright
sunshine and increasing heat, while other parts experienced fog in the morning.
Weather experts predict that this time the heat in the state may be more than
normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the trough passing through
Bihar and the easterly wind direction are affecting the state's weather. Due to
this, temperatures are rising in some districts, while in others, light fog is
visible in the morning. Agra was the hottest district in the state on Sunday,
where the maximum temperature was recorded at 37.6 degrees Celsius. This was
followed by Jhansi at 36.3 degrees Celsius and Banda at 35.8 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile,
fog reduced visibility in Saharanpur to about 300 meters in the morning.
Prayagraj and Varanasi recorded visibility of about 600 meters. Light fog was
also observed in Gorakhpur and Amethi in the morning. According to Atul Kumar
Singh, senior scientist at the Regional Meteorological Center, no major weather
system is currently active in the state. Therefore, day and night temperatures
are expected to gradually increase over the next three to four days. After
this, signs of a change in the weather may appear.
Large
areas of Uttar Pradesh are set to have exceptionally warm weather in the coming
days, with maximum temperatures in several districts forecast to exceed 35
degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department. According to
the meteorological office, no active weather systems are expected to strike the
state during the next week, resulting in dry conditions and a steady increase
in maximum temperatures of roughly 2-3 degrees Celsius.
With
temperatures already above normal, persistent dry conditions are predicted to
make weather across the state unusually hot for this time of year. On Sunday,
the highest temperature in Lucknow was 32.7 degrees Celsius, 2.2 degrees over
average, while the minimum temperature was 19.7 degrees Celsius, or 5.9 degrees
above normal. No rain was reported during the day.
The
meteorological service has projected a bright day with clear sky in Lucknow and
surrounding regions on Monday, with maximum and lowest temperatures expected to
be about 34 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively. Several
cities in the state have already recorded high midday temperatures. Agra's
highest temperature was 37.6 degrees Celsius, while Jhansi, Banda, and
Prayagraj also saw temperatures above the seasonal normal. Officials predicted
the temperature is anticipated to rise higher in the following days, with
several regions of the state expected to exceed 35 degrees Celsius if the dry
period continues. So yet, no weather warning has been issued, and rainfall is
unlikely during this time period.
