
Jammu, 09 March (H.S.): Shamsher Singh Charak has been appointed as the new President of Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha.
On the occasion, former president and retired judge Pavitra Singh ceremonially presented him with a turban and formally handed over the responsibility of leading the organisation.
Members of the Sabha expressed confidence that under Charak’s leadership the organisation will continue to work for the welfare, unity and upliftment of the Rajput community.
Former president Pavitra Singh had taken over as head of the Sabha in 2019 following the resignation of Narayan Singh.
During his tenure, he worked towards the welfare of the community and also focused on strengthening and reorganising the functioning of the Sabha.
Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha was established in Jammu and Kashmir during the reign of Maharaja Hari Singh between 1925 and 1949.
The organisation was formed with the aim of promoting social unity and safeguarding the interests of the Rajput community in the region.
