09 Mar (HS): Maharashtra State Assembly unanimously passed a resolution

congratulating Indian Cricket Team for winning the T20 World Cup 2026 on

Sunday. The resolution was moved by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He said

Indian cricket team won the T20 World Cup for second consecutive time and

overall third time. He appreciated batting by Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson and

Ishan Kishan and bowling by Jasprit Bumrah, Akshar Patel and Arshadip Singh. He

also spoke about the overall performance of team and congratulated captain

Surya Kumar and his team.

The

members from ruling and opposition parties appreciated performance of entire

team. India defeated New Zealand in the final by 96 runs after scoring mammoth

255 runs for five wickets.

The

congratulatory motion will be send to the Indian team.
