Pink Patrol Units’ disappeared from streets: Shiv Sena

Jammu, 09 March (H.S.): On International Women’s Day, the J&K unit of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) claimed that the ‘Pink Patrol Units’ launched in 2024 in Jammu Zone to enhance the safety of women have now virtually disappeared from the streets.

Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni while talking to reporters demanded that the Government should immediately reactivate the Pink Patrol Units to ensure safer environment for women at public places.

The Shiv Sena leader also expressed concern over the increasing crimes against women.

“Increasing incidents of rape, domestic violence and other crimes against the women in J&K demand stringent action,” he maintained adding: “Merely organizing events and delivering speeches on Women’s Day will not ensure safety to women unless strong measures are implemented on the ground.”

Sahni demanded establishment of Women Police Stations in every district and Women Help Desks in all Police Stations.
