March (HS): A father-son duo was discovered unconscious in their residence in
the Sahatwar neighborhood of Mumbai, which had been locked for three days,
police said on Monday.
Sonu, 35,
was subsequently pronounced dead by medics, while his father, Ashok, 61, a
retired PWD employee, is being treated, according to reports. According to
preliminary data, both were heavy drinkers, according to an officer. The
residence in Ward 8 of Sahatwar town had been shuttered for three days, with no
movement detected inside. On Sunday, neighbors reported something suspicious to
the family members of the house owner, who lives in Ballia city, according to
police.
Station
House Officer Anil Singh stated that when the family arrived, they discovered
the door was locked from the inside and notified the police.The cops
arrived at the scene and busted open the door to enter the home. A dog was
discovered chained inside a ground-floor room, and Sonu and his father Ashok
were found comatose on the roof, Singh added. Police
have sent the deceased for a post-mortem examination, and additional investigation
is underway.
