Bhubaneswar, 09 March (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Legislative Assembly that the government does not maintain district-wise data on the utilisation of Rs. 17,440 crore supplementary budget funds, citing limitations in the current financial tracking system.
Responding to a query from MLA Sagar Charan Das, who sought district-level details on supplementary funds released and spent in Kalahandi, Nuapada, and Balangir blocks as of February 2026, the Chief Minister explained that the budget process in Odisha follows a standardized national framework. The focus is on scheme-wise departmental spending rather than geographic tracking.
Majhi noted that the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS), which monitors government expenditures, does not capture allocations or expenditure data at the district or constituency level.
