Kokrajhar, 06 March (HS): The United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) will field candidates in 15 constituencies in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), party president Pramod Boro said on Friday talking to media after a program in Kokrajhar.

Boro stated that the party is preparing to contest the elections independently and will not enter into any alliance. He added that UPPL will go to the polls on its own strength in the region.

He further informed that the final list of candidates is likely to be announced within the next couple of days after completing internal consultations and preparations.

The announcement comes amid ongoing political discussions in the BTR ahead of the upcoming elections.------------
