
Nanded, 28 Mar (HS): Three children in Barbad village
of Nanded district are being treated for a rabid dog bite. The villages are in
shock following the incident as a youth of 18 years in Barbad died earlier
following attack of monkeys.
The children bit by a rabid dog have been identified
as Sangadnya Kailash Panbude (17), Gauri Madhukar Sontakke (6) and Zohan Firoz
Sheikh (3). The incident occurred in Gumfa Galli of Barbad. The children have been
administered anti-rabies vaccine and are being treated.
The villagers have appealed to the Gram Panchayat
authorities to initiate action against the stray dogs and monkey menace. The people are living with closed doors to protect
themselves from the rabies-infected stray dogs.
