Amravati, 28 Mar (HS): The tourists in Amravati’s
Melghat jungles had a surprising and emotional sighting, when they saw a female
bear carrying cubs on her back. The female bear walked two to three kilometres carrying
her cubs on her back.
The cubs usually remain with mother for six months of
age or a little more. The mother ensures safety of her cubs and was seen very
attentive and careful while walking. The sight was captured by a nature lover
Rohit Pal.
Bears love honey and Mahua flowers and this is the
season of Mahua flowers. The tribal collecting Mahua during the summer face
threat mostly from bears. A large number of bear bite cases are reported from
forest area during this season.
The sight was a beautiful explaining relations between
mother and child among wild animals.
