Guwahati, 28 March (HS): In a significant push ahead of the upcoming elections, the Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma intensified campaign efforts in support of BJP candidate Arup Dey in Bijni. Despite adverse weather conditions disrupting scheduled plans, the Chief Minister ensured his outreach to voters by addressing the people of Golakganj through a telephonic message.
Originally slated to attend and address the first public rally in Golakganj, the Chief Minister was unable to be physically present due to inclement weather. However, he did not allow the disruption to affect the momentum of the campaign and instead connected with the public remotely, conveying his message and seeking their support for the BJP candidate.
During his telephonic address, the Chief Minister appealed to the voters of Golakganj to extend their full support to Arup Dey, highlighting the developmental initiatives undertaken by the government and the importance of continuity in governance. He emphasized that the BJP remains committed to the progress and welfare of all sections of society.
Party workers and supporters present at the venue expressed enthusiasm despite the weather setback, listening attentively to the Chief Minister’s address. Local BJP leaders also reiterated their confidence in securing a decisive mandate in favor of Arup Dey.
The campaign in the region is expected to gain further momentum in the coming days, with senior party leaders likely to intensify their outreach as polling dates draw closer.--------
