Bhubaneswar, 27 March (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday lauded the Union Government’s handling of the evolving global situation, citing “prudence and preparedness” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a social media post, Majhi expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the recent ₹10 per litre reduction in central excise duty on petrol and diesel for domestic consumption. He said the move would provide immediate relief to households and help cushion the impact of global fuel price volatility.

The Chief Minister also welcomed steps taken by the Centre to ensure adequate domestic availability of fuel and essential commodities, noting that these measures reflect a strong commitment to economic stability and public welfare.

Appealing to citizens, Majhi urged people to remain calm, avoid spreading misinformation, and cooperate with authorities in maintaining stability. He emphasized that collective responsibility and public trust would be crucial in navigating the current challenges with resilience and unity.
