Guwahati, 27 March (HS): Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika on Friday launched a sharp attack on AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal, alleging that he has been unsuccessfully trying to politically weaken Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for the past two decades.
Hazarika asserted that despite continuous efforts, Ajmal’s attempts have never succeeded and will not succeed in the future. He further stated that no “Bangladeshi elements” in Assam can harm the Chief Minister in any way.
The minister said that the people of Assam will give a befitting reply to Ajmal. He accused the AIUDF leader of consistently opposing the Chief Minister by aligning with different political parties at different times, including the Congress, in a bid to target Sarma politically.
Hazarika maintained that Ajmal’s repeated strategies and alliances have failed over the years and expressed confidence that such efforts would continue to be rejected by the public.--------------
