Innovative
project moved from traditional model to solar-based technology with suggestion
of MSME Minister
GL Bajaj
student Dev Manthan's 'Solar Rechargeable Light-Projection Frame' sets an
example of self-reliant India
Lucknow Lucknow,
24 March (HS): Under the
guidance of MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan, a young innovation has found new
direction, not only combining technology and creativity but also promoting the
use of clean energy. India's first solar-based and rechargeable
light-projection photo frame, developed by Dev Manthan, a B.Tech Mechanical
student of GL Bajaj Institute, is today emerging as a symbol of innovation and
self-reliance.
This frame
is unique in its structure and functionality. Under normal conditions, it
appears quite ordinary, but when light is shone behind it, the hidden image,
design, or message becomes clearly visible. Based on the concept of
Hidden in Plain Sight, this experiment is as technically
interesting as it is practical.
The
direction of this innovation changed when Dev Manthan met with MSME Minister
Rakesh Sachan. Initially, the frame relied on a conventional electric
backlight, which limited its usefulness. Minister Sachan, after reviewing the
project, suggested connecting it to solar power.
This
suggestion proved to be a turning point for the project. The Minister believed
that innovation should not only be technological, but also sustainable and
environmentally friendly. This approach paved the way for transforming a simple
prototype into an advanced and practical product.
Following
Minister Sachan's suggestion, Dev Manthan, along with his mentor Vishwas Gupta,
began working in this direction. After 15-20 days of continuous
experimentation, failures, and improvements, they developed a frame that
charges via solar panels and operates completely wirelessly. Now, this frame
can be easily installed anywhere, whether indoors or outdoors. It not only
saves electricity but also contributes to environmental protection.
The MSME
Department has also played a crucial role in this entire project. Under the
leadership of Minister Rakesh Sachan, the department is continuously inspiring
youth to innovate, start-up, and entrepreneurship. Through MSME, youth not only
receive guidance but also resources and platforms to transform their ideas into
products. This initiative is strengthening campaigns like Make in
India and Atmanirbhar Bharat at the grassroots level.
Dev
Manthan is now moving forward with developing this project into a startup. He
plans to bring this product to market through The Ivory Spark
Studio. He has already received initial orders on social media platforms,
demonstrating the product's utility and appeal. His goal is not just to create
a product, but to create new employment opportunities by establishing a
manufacturing unit. This initiative could also boost economic activity locally.
